No route is too long

There are no limits for SRT in respect of lengths and weights: for example handling, shipment, and pontoon-deliveries of heavy pipes of 70m length and 203 to untit-weight from Rostock to and within Rotterdam.

Saar-Rhein Transportgesellschaft mbH expanded in 1992 to include a freight forwarding/coastal and ocean shipping division. This division handles liner services and charter-shipments.

Our specialists in liner shipping ensure that our weekly liner services (parceled freight) are processed smoothly through the ports in Duisburg and Rotterdam, on their way to the biggest ports in Europe and the US.

Together with a renowned Duisburg-based shipping company, we operate the GB-Line for shipments to England, from and to the ports of Sutton Bridge, Hull, Sunderland, Blyth and Newport. For more details, please see our GB-Line brochure which can be requested by email.

Our ports of call in Norway are Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen and Trondheim; in Sweden they are primarily Gothenburg and Sölvesborg; in Denmark, Fredericia, Odense and Copenhagen; and in Finland, Turku and Helsinki, to name just a few.

In addition, there are fixed, regular shipping-services to the Spanish ports of Bilbao, Aviles, Santander and Cadiz, as well as to the ports in Setubal and Aveiro in Portugal.

Calls are made in the Iberian Peninsula and the Baltic countries in a 10-14-day rhythm.

Of course, our team organizes as well affreightments to German ports or ports in the Mediterranean area.

Our know-how in project forwarding is in demand worldwide.

The chartering department primarily affreights full load shipments - worldwide. From deep-sea to short-sea sections, Saar-Rhein consistently offers you the lowest rates, combined with the best service.
