Saar-Rhein organized the handling and transport of curved steel discs with a diameter of 8,80 m
Our inland navigation division was launched in 1989. Today, Saar-Rhein is well-established on all of Europe’s waterways. We transport and process more than 1 million tons annually on inland waterways.
Aside from ore, coal and steel products – especially large-diameter line pipe – we also transport other goods such as paper, project cargoes, wood, paletted goods, and more.
We travel the major waterways of the Rhine, Mosel and Saar, and increasingly, the Main, Danube, and channels in western Germany as well.
